Golf, rowing and more
Fancy a round of golf or rowing on the Rotsee? No problem – in the Nottwil region you will get your money’s worth!
In the Nottwil/Lucerne region you will certainly never be bored. How about a round of golf in the nearby Oberkirch Golf Park (18-hole course)? Rowers will find the best training conditions on the Rotsee near Lucerne. And in winter we are the ideal starting point for day trips to the mountains with skis, cross-country skis, snowshoes or sledges.
Are you looking for something very special, such as panning for gold, for example? Or an escape from the Adventure Room in Lucerne? As a guest at the Hotel Sempachersee you are at the ideal location to discover many exciting activities in the heart of Switzerland. We would be happy to advise you!
Hiking / Nordic walking
Explore the heart of Switzerland on foot. Or in a wheelchair. With us you are right in the middle of it all.
Nottwil is the perfect starting point for short and long hikes. A hiking trail even leads right through the grounds of our hotel and the Swiss Paraplegic Centre. From here the wheelchair accessible hiking trail “Sempachersee-Moosweg” leads to the Sursee (8 km, return by train). Also ideal for Nordic walking (free sticks in the hotel).
The region of Nottwil/Lucerne has a dense hiking trail network between the Mittelland and the foothills of the Alps. Everything is possible here, from wheelchair-accessible footpaths to challenging hikes.

Learn windsurfing, rent a SUP board. Or just swim. Welcome to Lake Sempach.
Amazing what you can do in a taster course of two and a half hours. Learning windsurfing has never been so easy, thanks to suitable equipment for beginners and the professional competence of the surf instructors at the Caribbean Village. Here there are also stand-up paddle boards to rent.
To practice water sports on Lake Sempach, however, you need nothing more than a bathing suit. It’s just a few steps to the outdoor pool. And when summer’s over, the indoor pool of the Swiss Paraplegic Centre is an attractive alternative.
