Leisure activities

Even if you like it with us in Nottwil and at Lake Sempach: why not take a trip and discover something new? Lucerne and Central Switzerland offer you many rewarding destinations!

Want some examples?

  • The perfect leisure experience! Rent a “pedalo”, an electric motorboat or a rowing boat on Lake Sempach at the Korporation Sursee boat rental, run by the Schäfer-Schnyder family.

  • Action & nature at the Rigi Rope Park in Küssnacht am Rigi! Featuring various difficulty levels within a radius of around 3.5 km along 7 different routes, action in the great outdoors is guaranteed!

  • The perfect destination for a day out in all weathers. Experience pleasure in rain & sunshine! Discover the world of chocolate from the Aeschbach family business.

  • Explore the heart of Switzerland on foot or in a wheelchair.

Discover Switzerland's first biosphere reserve, in the middle of the "Wild West" of Lucerne.

The Hotel & Conference Center Sempachersee is the perfect starting point for small and large hikes.

The wheelchair-accessible hiking trail "Sempachersee-Moosweg" leads from here to Sursee (8 km, return journey by train). Also ideal for Nordic walking (free sticks in the hotel).

The Nottwil/Lucerne region has a comprehensive network of hiking trails between the Central Plateau and the Pre-Alps. From wheelchair-accessible walking trails to challenging hikes, everything is possible here.

  • Others travel thousands of kilometres to come here – for you, Lucerne is only 15 minutes from our hotel. The world-famous Kapellbrücke bridge, the impressive KKL building and of course the Museum of Transport are only three of countless highlights the city of lights has to offer.

  • Do you want to go high up? The rack railway or the panoramic aerial cable car will take you up to Lucerne’s local mountain, the 2128m-high Pilatus. And there’s just as much of a panorama on the Rigi – accessible from Lucerne via boat and rack railway.

  • Discover the Sempachersee region by bike.

Lucerne and Central Switzerland offer a beautiful landscape that virtually invites you to go cycling!

Whether with our hotel-owned rental bikes, with your own racing bike, e-bike or mountain bike - everything is available for fun on two wheels!

We still have a lot of excursion tips. Just ask!
